How Long Can I Stay in South Korea Without a Visa?

Foreign nationals traveling to South Korea are all required to carry a passport valid for 6 months beyond the length of their stay. A Korean visa issued by the Korean embassy or consular offices from a tourist’s country of origin is also required unless travelers are passport holders from eligible countries. Countries under South Korea Visa Waiver Agreement

Tourists from the countries listed by the South Korean government that fall under a Visa Waiver Agreement with Korea are permitted visa-free entry for 30 to 90 days, with the exception of Canadian travelers. The period for which foreign nationals are allowed to stay in South Korea without being required to apply for a visa depends on a traveler’s nationality and on the purpose of their trip.

Canadian passport holders are allowed the longest visa-free stay in South Korea. Tourists from Canada are allowed to enter and travel around Korea for up to 180 days.
